After many years of fund raising, planning, and construction, our new education (tan) building was completed at the end of 2003.

A new front entrance opens from the front driveway into the Foyer and hall.
With windows on either side and lots of open space between, our new Foyer provides a wonderful space for gathering, greeting and meeting each other and people new to us before and after Services.
As you enter the church through our new Foyer, on the wall in front of you is our History Niche.

The Stained Glass windows came from the buildings that housed the two congregations that merged in 1959 to form Linden-Linthicum UMC. The window on the left is from the Linden Church in Dayton, noting both the date of its construction and the year in which the stained glass windows were added. The window on the right is from the Linthicum Church which was located at the intersection of Rte 108 and Ten Oaks Road,

The Communion Table is from the Linthicum Church and the altar rail in front of it served the Linden congregation for many years. Together they represent the Lord’s Supper which lies at the heart of our Worship.

The chairs on either side of the niche come from the parsonage of the Linthicum Church. They were refinished by Charles Shaw, Sr.

The wainscoting boards were made from the large pine tree which once stood where the Foyer now is. The boards were cut from its trunk and finished and installed in the History Niche by Ron Shaw.
Stained glass windows of the History Niche are seen from the new courtyard area.
The Great Room makes up a large part of the new building, and is designed for many uses.
Our new elevator makes it easy to travel from the first floor to the basement level and back again!
The basement level has added new storage areas, restrooms, and classrooms.
Much-needed classroom space on the basement level includes a new nursery area for young children.
Along with our new building, we also have new parking lots, sidewalks, signs, landscaping, and parking lot lights. (The brightly colored retaining walls have been repainted in a cooler, calmer color.)
